Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Haircare Range

In a bid for better hair I've been on the look out for a shampoo and conditioner that would keep my hair nice and nourished without leaving it feeling greasy hours later. I have difficult hair; it is fairly fine and long in length, I suffer from an oily scalp yet the ends are very dry and damaged from constant washing and heat styling tools used on a daily basis. I used to opt for volume boosting haircare as my hair can be quite flat due to it's length but this would cause the ends to be become even more damaged leading to having quite a few inches chopped off last year.

Charles Worthington is a brand of haircare I have dabbled in during my teens. None of their products have really worked miracles but were a nice treat as more of a luxurious quality of haircare. However I saw these in Boots and at first thought they were new products, in fact Charles Worthington have revamped their packaging which makes it look a lot more fancy. I feel the design of the bottle is more practical and allows you to get more of the product out. The Moisture Seal range has a shampoo, conditioner, rescue masque and a leave in conditioner.

The range is targeted as ideal for dry hair, apart from my ends I wouldn't consider my hair dry at all. It claims to give your hair luscious moisturisation, intense nourishment and manageability improvement. The whole range is enriched with Argan Oil which helps ensure hair is in a healthy condition and easier to manage and style. It is also safe to use on colour treated hair and is animal cruelty free and paraben free, perfect right?

Shampoo: The shampoo is very thick in texture and doesn't go very far at first but with the aid of a little water it soon does the trick. It seems incredible, just like a hair salon. When massaged into wet hair and rinsed thoroughly, it doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped and dry like other shampoos do. A little pricey at £5.99 for 250ml but I usually get around 3 weeks worth when washing my hair everyday.

Conditioner: The conditioner has a very creamy consistency and in texture and appearance isn't far from what I was expecting. Again, it smells incredible, just like the shampoo. I apply throughout the mid length to ends of my hair combing through with my fingers to ensure good application. I then leave on for a minute or two and rinse out. My hair although wet feels incredibly soft and nourished. The pricing and size is the same as the conditioner.

Mineral Hair Rescue Masque: I use this once a week instead of my conditioner and apply generously to my entire head of hair from the roots down. It's very thick in texture and I scoop out a large dollop. I leave it on for a good 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. It's a great pick me up but I don't see a massive difference from the regular conditioner as it's just so nourishing. Priced the same as the previous items but in a 160ml tub which lasts me around 2 months.

I have nothing but good things to say about this range. I did worry about it leaving my hair flat and greasy as I have oily roots but I haven't seen any difference at all. Instead it just left my hair feeling super nourished, thicker, it was a lot more manageable and didn't break off as much. It leaves my hair smelling great all day and it just looks a whole lot healthier. I've gone through several bottles of this stuff and I don't think I'll change any time soon. I'm really glad I discovered these products as they're the best thing I've ever used on my hair. The condition of my hair has drastically improved and I don't get half as many split ends as I did before. Although the products are a little pricey, they are definitely worth every penny and is noticeably better quality than other high end haircare products.

MoroccanOil Treatment

MoroccanOil Treatment 125ml Feel Unique £31.85

I'm sure most of you are no strangers to MoroccanOil, it became pretty big a few years back  but it seems to have taken a back seat with all the cheaper alternatives and competitors on the market. Hair oils have become a pretty big thing and MoroccanOil is the best of them all so I'm here to convince you why it shouldn't take a back seat, it should be centre stage.

Don't let it's large price tag scare you off so soon, I thought the same at first too. How can this small bottle of hair oil be worth over £30, insane! For this price I picked up a 125ml bottle, the usual size is 100ml but Feel Unique are currently offering the larger bottle for the same size as the smaller one so you're getting a great deal. It comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a screw top lid as well as a separate pump which is great for travelling with. The oil itself is and orangey colour and is super runny. I tend to use the oil when my hair is damp, 2 pumps is enough for my long hair. I rub the product together in my hands and distribute it through my hair using my fingers. It smells incredible and the smell lasts on your hair for the whole day.

My hair is slightly damaged as I use heat on it daily in the forms of blow-drying and straightening once or twice a day. I do use heat protector and rarely dye my hair. However the ends are always dry and I get quite a lot of split ends which makes my hair break when brushing through as it's damaged. But using this oil makes my hair so much more manageable. Once blow-dried, my hair feels incredibly soft and silky with no residue left behind. My hair has never honestly felt in such good condition, it doesn't knot or break as much and the ends aren't dry and frizzy. Although it seems expensive, it's became an essential product in my routine and has massively improved the condition of my hair and I will repurchase over and over again.

Herbal Essences Bee Strong Range

I'm always on the hunt for new haircare, whenever the current products I'm using are empty, I'm trying to find something new to try. I have quite dry damaged hair, I don't cut it very often at all and the ends are in really bad condition, however my roots get very oily and the contrast between roots and tips is at different ends of the spectrum.

The Bee Strong range is targeted at damaged hair. The formula contains honey and apricot extracts which work to repair the protective outer layer of each strand of hair to leave it silky and strong. The range hosts a shampoo and conditioner, deep treatment masque and a leave in conditioning spray. I have long hair, very damaged and dry at the ends and the roots get oily. I have to wash my hair everyday as it's very flat and I put through a gruelling blow dry and rollers. They roped in the ever so beautiful Nicole Scherzinger to promote the new range, I'm sure you've seen the advert. Strangely I don't think anything will ever make my hair as perfect as hers, sigh.

After shampooing and conditioning my barnet, I then towel dried it added some heat defence spray and then spritzed some of the leave in spray onto my hands and then ran the product through my hair. The texture surprised me as it's more a of creamy consistency as opposed to an oil or serum. Once I week I used the deep treatment instead of the regular conditioner for 15 minutes whilst in the bath. Then I blow dried and set my rollers.

I'm in love with Bee Strong. First of all it smells incredible, it's one of those products that smell so good your whole bathroom smells incredible even after you've gotten out of the shower. I expected the conditioners and treatment to be really heavy as it's targeted at damaged hair, however it was surprisingly light yet nourishing at the same time and left my hair soft yet thoroughly cleansed. I found the bottles lasted me a good few weeks which is also a bonus. I found the leave in spray a real gem at softening my frizzy dry ends and worked much better than any other I'd used before. The shampoo and conditioner were perfect, the right balance between too heavy or too clarifying. The deep treatment masque was great too, the formula was super thick and creamy and applied well onto the hair, it's good to go in a few minutes or you can leave it on for longer to achieve super soft locks.

Overall I'm really impressed and I've actually repurchased since. I love the way it leaves my hair, although it's not perfect, it's a firm favourite of mine now. The range retails between £3.89 and £4.79 so cheap as chips!
